General expression for linear and nonlinear time series models

摘要: The typical time series models such as ARMA, AR, and MA are founded on the normality and stationarity of a system and expressed by a linear difference equation; therefore, they are strictly limited to the linear system. However, some nonlinear factors are within the practical system; thus, it is difficult to fit the model for real systems with the above models. This paper proposes a general expression for linear and nonlinear auto-regressive time series models (GNAR). With the gradient optimization method and modified AIC information criteria integrated with the prediction error, the parameter estimation and order determination are achieved. The model simulation and experiments show that the GNAR model can accurately approximate to the dynamic characteristics of the most nonlinear models applied in academics and engineering. The modeling and prediction accuracy of the GNAR model is superior to the classical time series models. The proposed GNAR model is flexible and effective.

Linear and nonlinear elastic analysis of closely spaced strip foundations using Pasternak model

摘要: In this study, an attempt is made to determine the interaction effect of two closely spaced strip footings using Pasternak model. The study considers small strain problem and has been performed using linear as well as nonlinear elastic analysis to determine the interaction effect of two nearby strip footings. The hyperbolic stress-strain relationship has been considered for the nonlinear elastic analysis. The linear elastic analysis has been carried out by deriving the equations for the interference effect of the footings in the framework of Pasternak model equation; whereas, the nonlinear elastic analysis has been performed using the finite difference method to solve the second order nonlinear differential equation evolved from Pasternak model with proper boundary conditions. Results obtained from the linear and the nonlinear elastic analysis are presented in terms of non-dimensional interaction factors by varying different parameters like width of the foundation, load on the foundation and the depth of the rigid base. Results are suitably compared with the existing values in the literature.

摘要: The problem of state feedback controllers for a class of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) Lipschitz nonlinear systems is investigated. A simple systematic and useful synthesis method is proposed based on the use of the differential mean value theorem (DMVT) and convex theory. The proposed design approach is based on the mean value theorem (MVT) to express the nonlinear error dynamics as a convex combination of known matrices with time varying coefficients as linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. Using the Lyapunov theory, stability conditions are obtained and expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The controller gains are then obtained by solving linear matrix inequalities. The effectiveness of the proposed approach for closed loop-field oriented control (CL-FOC) of permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) drives is demonstrated through an illustrative simulation for the proof of these approaches. Furthermore, an extension for controller design with parameter uncertainties and perturbation performance is discussed.

摘要:

板壳分析是现代固体力学的一个重要分支。这门学科几乎与一切工程设计都有关联,对航天、航空、航海、机械、石化、建筑、水利、动力、仪表、交通等工程设计,尤其具有指导意义。现今,经典的薄板壳线性理论已较成熟,并在各种工程设计中起着指导作用。然而,在薄板壳非线性领域和厚板壳线性领域,还有许多问题未被解决。文章在介绍这门学科发展历史的基础上,概述了作者近四十年结合工程实际对波纹板壳、单层板壳、双层金属旋转扁壳、网格扁壳、夹层板壳和复合材料层合板壳等六类薄板壳的非线性弯曲、稳定和振动问题以及厚、薄板壳弯曲问题进行理论探索的情况。

Non linear modeling of three-dimensional reinforced and fiber concrete structures

摘要: Under the effect of the ascending loading, the behavior of reinforced concrete structures is rather non linear. Research in industry and science aims to extend forward the use of non-linear calculation of fiber concrete for structural parts such as columns, veils and pious, as the fiber concrete is more ductile behavior then the classical concrete behavior. The formulation of the element has been established for modeling the nonlinear behavior of elastic structures in three dimensions, based on the displacement method. For the behavior of concrete and fiber concrete compressive and tensile strength (stress-strain) the uniaxial formulation is used. For steel bi-linear relationship is used. The approach is based on the discretization of the cross section trapezoidal tables. Forming the stiffness matrix of the section, the integral of the surface is calculated as the sum of the integrals on each of the cutting trapezoids. To integrate on the trapeze we have adopted the type of Simpson integration scheme.

摘要: 本文探讨了通过线性和非线性拟合方法估计指数模型中的未知参数。基于多元函数极值定理及泰勒级数展开,从理论上证明了:在实验测量数据中包含噪声的情况下,通过线性拟合方法所得到的参数估计值并不能保证指数模型的残差平方和达到最小。通过数值仿真对线性和非线性拟合方法的结果进行了对比,仿真结果显示:线性方法只能获得未知参数的次优估计,但非线性方法给出更准确的结果。利用水下图像和成像距离数据对水体光谱衰减系数进行了估计,结果证实非线性拟合方法能够对参数估计准确度有明显的提升。

非线性调合调度问题的全局优化

汽油调合调度是炼油工业中的一个重要问题。一方面,该问题具有调度问题本身所具有的组合优化特性;另一方面,由于调合各种具有不同品质特性的物料,导致该优化问题的非凸性。本文提出一种新型的全局优化算法,用于求解基于连续时间汽油调合调度模型的混合整数非线性规划问题。该模型包含调合配方优化、分配问题及若干操作特性和约束;算法上采用分段McCormick 松弛(PMCR) 和规范多参数解聚(NMDT),计算全局最优解的估计值,其松弛技术将双线性项中的一个变量值域进行分割,进而在每一个分段上产生凸松弛;通过增加分段数和缩减变量的值域,提高对全局最优解的估计。本文利用该算法求解四个案例,并与两个商业全局优化求解器和两个启发式算法进行比较,结果表明,本文提出的全局优化算法与商业求解器具有同等水平,但是在计算速度上稍逊于启发式算法。

基于实测时间序列的非线性系统恢复力识别

摘要:

提出一种完全基于激励和结构响应实测数据的结构动力系统非线性恢复力识别方法,并通过在一个4层钢结构模型中引入具有非线性特性的磁流变阻尼器(MR)模拟非线性恢复力,基于此模型结构在不同的激励方式下的动力响应测量数据,验证了该方法的有效性。对于结构的各自由度均受到激励的情况,运用最小二乘拟合算法识别出等效线性系统的物理参数(质量、刚度和阻尼矩阵),进而得到模型结构振动过程中MR阻尼力随时间变化情况并与实验实测结果进行了比较。针对结构仅在有限自由度上受到激励的情况,对以上方法进行了改进,提出了一种非线性系统恢复力的非参数化识别方法,利用结构中弹性恢复力的对称关系,分步确定了结构各层间恢复力模型,从而得到MR恢复力的大小并与实测结果进行了比较。结果表明,基于时域实测信号的非线性系统恢复力识别法在完整激励和非完整激励下均能有效地识别结构的非线性恢复力特性。文章所述方法可以运用于工程结构在动力荷载作用下的损伤发生发展过程的监测与识别。

The kinematic assumptions upon which the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory is founded allow it to be extended to more advanced analysis. Simple superposition allows for three-dimensional transverse loading. Using alternative constitutive equations can allow for viscoelastic or plastic beam deformation. Euler-Bernoulli beam theory can also be extended to the analysis of curved beams, beam buckling, composite beams and geometrically nonlinear beam deflection. In this study, solving the nonlinear differential equation governing the calculation of the large rotation deviation of the beam (or column) has been discussed. Previously to calculate the rotational deviation of the beam, the assumption is made that the angular deviation of the beam is small. By considering the small slope in the linearization of the governing differential equation, the solving is easy. The result of this simplification in some cases will lead to an excessive error. In this paper nonlinear differential equations governing on this system are solved analytically by Akbari-Ganji’s method (AGM). Moreover, in AGM by solving a set of algebraic equations, complicated nonlinear equations can easily be solved and without any mathematical operations such as integration solving. The solution of the problem can be obtained very simply and easily. Furthermore, to enhance the accuracy of the results, the Taylor expansion is not needed in most cases via AGM manner. Also, comparisons are made between AGM and numerical method (Runge-Kutta 4th). The results reveal that this method is very effective and simple, and can be applied for other nonlinear problems.

摘要: As a novel structural control strategy, tuned mass damper (TMD) inspired passive and semi-active smart building isolation systems are suggested to reduce structural response and thus mitigate structural damage due to earthquake excitations. The isolated structure’s upper stories can be utilized as a large scaled TMD, and the isolation layer, as a core design point, between the separated upper and lower stories entails the insertion of rubber bearings and (i) viscous dampers (passive) or (ii) resettable devices (semi-active). The seismic performance of the suggested isolation systems are investigated for 12-story reinforced concrete moment resisting frames modeled as “10+ 2” stories and “8+ 4” stories. Passive viscous damper or semi-active resettable devices are parametrically evaluated through the optimal design principle of a large mass ratio TMD. Statistical performance metrics are presented for 30 earthquake records from the three suites of the SAC project. Based on nonlinear structural models, including P-delta effects and modified Takeda hysteresis, the inelastic time history analyses are conducted to compute the seismic performances across a wide range of seismic hazard intensities. Results show that semi-active smart building isolation systems can effectively manage seismic response for multi-degree-of freedom (MDOF) systems across a broader range of ground motions in comparison to uncontrolled case and passive solution.

Design and analysis of linear oscillating motor for linear pump application-magnetic field, dynamics

A linear oscillating motor is an electromagnetic actuator that can achieve short-stroke reciprocating movement directly without auxiliary transmission mechanisms. It has been widely used in linear pump applications as the source of power and motion. However, because of the demand of high power density in a linear actuation system, the performance of linear oscillating motors has been the focus of studies and deserves further research for high power density. In this paper, a general framework of linear oscillating motor design and optimization is addressed in detail, including the electromagnetic, dynamics, and thermal aspects. First, the electromagnetic and dynamics characteristics are modeled to reveal the principle for optimization. Then, optimization and analysis on magnetic structure, resonant system, and thermal features are conducted, which provide the foundation for prototype development. Finally, experimental results are provided for validation. As a whole, this process offers complete guidance for high power density linear oscillating motors in linear pump applications.

Comparison between linear and non-linear forms of pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order adsorption

摘要: The best-fit equations of linear and non-linear forms of the two widely used kinetic models, namely pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order equations, were compared in this study. The experimental kinetics of methylene blue adsorption on activated carbon was used for this research. Both the correlation coefficient () and the normalized standard deviation Δ(%) were employed as error analysis methods to determine the best-fitting equations. The results show that the non-linear forms of pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order models were more suitable than the linear forms for fitting the experimental data. The experimental kinetics may have been distorted by linearization of the linear kinetic equations, and thus, the non-linear forms of kinetic equations should be primarily used to obtain the adsorption parameters. In addition, the Δ(%) method for error analysis may be better to determine the best-fitting model in this case.

确定性疲劳累积损伤理论进展

著名的Miner-Palmgren线性累积损伤理论的提出已有70余年,但由于疲劳问题的复杂性,迄今为止还没有一个模型的工程应用价值能与该理论媲美。疲劳累积损伤理论仍在发展与完善中。文章根据疲劳损伤与疲劳累积损伤理论的特点,将确定性疲劳累积损伤理论分成两大类,即线性累积损伤理论和非线性累积损伤理论,并将主要的非线性累积损伤理论分成五类:a. 基于损伤曲线法的非线性累积损伤理论;b. 基于材料物理性能退化概念的非线性累积损伤理论;c. 基于连续损伤力学概念的非线性累积损伤理论;d. 考虑载荷间相互作用效应的非线性累积损伤理论;e. 基于能量法的非线性累积损伤理论。文章分析了每一类模型中有代表性模型的物理背景,回答了模型在疲劳累积损伤理论中存在的主要问题,简要评述了模型的优缺点,讨论了确定性疲劳累积损伤理论的几个关键问题。

Nonlinear numerical simulation of punching shear behavior of reinforced concrete flat slabs with shear-heads

摘要: This paper examines the structural response of reinforced concrete flat slabs, provided with fully-embedded shear-heads, through detailed three-dimensional nonlinear numerical simulations and parametric assessments using concrete damage plasticity models. Validations of the adopted nonlinear finite element procedures are carried out against experimental results from three test series. After gaining confidence in the ability of the numerical models to predict closely the full inelastic response and failure modes, numerical investigations are carried out in order to examine the influence of key material and geometric parameters. The results of these numerical assessments enable the identification of three modes of failure as a function of the interaction between the shear-head and surrounding concrete. Based on the findings, coupled with results from previous studies, analytical models are proposed for predicting the rotational response as well as the ultimate strength of such slab systems. Practical recommendations are also provided for the design of shear-heads in RC slabs, including the embedment length and section size. The analytical expressions proposed in this paper, based on a wide-ranging parametric assessment, are shown to offer a more reliable design approach in comparison with existing methods for all types of shear-heads, and are suitable for direct practical application.

New nonlinear stiffness actuator with predefined torque‒deflection profile

摘要: A nonlinear stiffness actuator (NSA) could achieve high torque/force resolution in low stiffness range and high bandwidth in high stiffness range, both of which are beneficial for physical interaction between a robot and the environment. Currently, most of NSAs are complex and hardly used for engineering. In this paper, oriented to engineering applications, a new simple NSA was proposed, mainly including leaf springs and especially designed cams, which could perform a predefined relationship between torque and deflection. The new NSA has a compact structure, and it is lightweight, both of which are also beneficial for its practical application. An analytical methodology that maps the predefined relationship between torque and deflection to the profile of the cam was developed. The optimal parameters of the structure were given by analyzing the weight of the NSA and the mechanic characteristic of the leaf spring. Though sliding friction force is inevitable because no rollers were used in the cam-based mechanism, the sliding displacement between the cam and the leaf spring is very small, and consumption of sliding friction force is very low. Simulations of different torque‒deflection profiles were carried out to verify the accuracy and applicability of performing predefined torque‒deflection profiles. Three kinds of prototype experiments, including verification experiment of the predefined torque‒deflection profile, torque tracking experiment, and position tracking experiment under different loads, were conducted. The results prove the accuracy of performing the predefined torque‒deflection profile, the tracking performance, and the interactive performance of the new NSA.
